Knitting with Miss Linda. We'll be sending these hats and scarves to the clients of the Downtown Mission when Mrs. Dalley takes the band to play during their Christmas Dinner next month.
We missed penny exchanges last Friday, but we were able to squeeze them in today. Look at the concentration ...

Twin/Moustache Day
Our spirit day this month is twin day. We are also wearing moustaches to support the males on our staff who are raising money for some of the biggest health issues faced by men today, like prostate cancer. It should be a very spirited assembly! Here are some pics of our twins and unshaven friends :)

Non-Fiction Texts
This month we have been examining the features of non-fiction texts in our guided reading groups. We have also been talking about non-fiction texts in library. Next week we will do our book talks about one of the non-fiction texts we've been reading (see the anchor chart below). Today, Josh and Brock did a great job making a PicCollage about the non-fiction text features in their guided reading book, "Make Electrostatic Slime".

Stack It Up!!
Way to go Brinley and Payton! These two participated in an attempt to break the world-wide stacking record. Hopefully they become part of the new Guiness Book of World Records!
What's Inside?
Last week I brought in a VCR that I purchased at Value Village. The idea is that students will be inspired by taking this apart to find out "what's inside".

Remembrance Day
Thanks to the parents who came out to share in our Remembrance Day activities. I'm sure everyone would agree that the students did an excellent job of both reciting "In Flanders Fields" - from memory, and of behaving with such respect. I am so proud of each and every one!!!
